In its charter of new-age education the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has consistently focused on the holistic development of the children – in body, mind and spirit – across the CISCE affiliate schools across India and overseas.

This is also aligned to the Government of India’s new initiative of identifying sporting talents among the school students and developing sports schools through the Khelo India School Games and the Khelo India Scheme.

CISCE has embarked on a mission to conduct the CISCE National School Sports & Games annually from 2018, in order to identify talents at the school level and provide these students a suitable platform to showcase their talents and skills, enabling them to develop and reach their full potential.

It is the our aim to provide a suitable platform and an opportunity to all children studying in our affiliated schools to showcase their talents and skills in the various sporting disciplines. Once identified, the next step is to play on a bigger stage and represent the Council at the annual National School Games conducted by the School Games Federation of India (SGFI) and thereafter at the Khelo India School Games.

CISCE is one of the first Education Boards in India to include Physical Education as a subject in our Class 10 & 12 Syllabuses. Annual School Sports is an integral part of every one of our affiliated schools in India and abroad.

To create a sense of unity, integrity, honesty, fraternity, friendship and a true competitive spirit among the students of the CISCE affiliated schools.
  • To inculcate in the young minds a spirit of healthy competition while exhibiting their talents and potential.
  • To help students develop an all-round personality and bring out the best in them to pave a bright future associated with sports and games activities.

CISCE has framed a set of rules and regulations by incorporating the existing rules and regulations of various sports federations. These are essential to conduct the national events smoothly and successfully and should be strictly adhered to by the host regions of the national events and the participants.
