National Award For Teachers - Procedure for Selection

• No teacher/Principal may directly apply for this Award. The name of the Teacher shall be recommended by the Principal through the Chairman of the Managing Committee, while that of the Principal shall be recommended by the Chairman through a resolution of the Managing Committee on the prescribed proforma.
• At the initial stage these recommendations shall be made to the Regional Committees through the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations.
• The Regional level Committees shall scrutinize these names and make suitable recommendations to the Central Award Committee.
• The Chief Executive and Secretary of Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations shall place these recommendations before the Central Award Committee which shall make suitable recommendations to the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
